Vintage Revisited block 4 challenge quilt for Mary Kerr’s book A Quilt Block Challenge
Block #4 was solid fabrics again but I have always liked yellow so I’m not sure why I had such a problem coming up with a design for this quilt. I got frustrated one day and tossed the block down in a mess on my sewing table. The next day I noticed it was lying next to some chicken fabrics I had purchased and the colors were great. My Monkey Wrench block became Hens and Chicks. The embroidery was done by hand and the quilting was done by machine, using a variety of methods.
