In Spring 2004 CBQ issued a challenge to create a quilt using yellow significantly in a quilt. They felt quilters often avoided this color ...I’m not sure I agree. I had an unfinished piece of vintage embroidery that had yellow flowers on it so I used that for my inspiration. I finished the embroidery, added the green leaves and pieced a scrappy border. I finished it pillowcase method with a scalloped border and machine quilted it.
