Children’s Artwork Recreated
Emma drew this picture using markers when she was three years old. That same year I painted it onto a nightshirt for Emma to give her Grandma for Christmas. Emma is 23 now and I just repurposed the nightshirt into a wall hanging for my mum. The T-shirt was stabilized using a lightweight fusible stabilizer before it was trimmed to size. I added an accent border of orange picked up from the border fabric. The piece is free motion quilted with cotton threads to blend with the background colors.
