Children’s Artwork Recreated
This picture is a still life of my old kitchen sink and the window above it. Shown on the windowsill is my collection of vintage blue green glass bottle, a spider plant rooting in a glass of water and you can't miss the bottle of Joy!
I used fusible applique and a small zigzag stitch on all of the raw edges and also to add details like the window panes. I drew around the edge of each bottle with a black fabric marker and added details to resemble the original picture. I could have used a satin stitch around the edges but I find it much easier to draw with the marker and use a zigzag stitch.
I laughed when I put the apron on and realized that the drain sits right at my belly button and from a distance I also noticed that the sink looks like an "F" so my daughter suggested I could call it "'F'-rything but the Kitchen Sink"
