When I started quilting I never used patterns so I learned by trial and error. This was the first time I used triangles in a quilt and I had a terrible time calculating the correct sizes, most of my points are missing. I also learned about placement of fabric and value, there is not enough contrast in a number of areas on this quilt. The center of this piece is part of a vintage table runner that was in very poor shape.
