Beth’s Cuckoo
First
Once a year Cabin Branch Quilters Guild holds a yard sale of quilting items and supplies. In 2004 I purchased a number of items (pictured above) that Beth Wiesner had for sale. That summer I decided to make a quilt with the pieces I had purchased. The first one I made I only added 1 strip of orange fabric in the border. The second quilt I added the border fabric.I was having fun so I decided to see how many quilts I could make with the fabrics I had purchased for $25. The third and fourth I didn’t add any fabric. The fifth quilt top I added the border fabric. Number six I added the white squares. The seventh quilt I added the white and the border fabric. The eighth top I added 2 leaf fabrics, number nine I added white and some leaf fabric. The last top I added the white fabric and the border. Beth markets quilt patterns under the name Cuckoo Quilts so all 10 quilts are named Beth’s Cuckoo... because I think she’s crazy for letting go of all this fun fabric.
